China’s FM Warns Against Unilateral Pressure, Calls for Regional Unity
Wang emphasizes the importance of working through multilateral frameworks to ensure regional peace and stability, according to reports. In an interview with Chinese media, he notes that lasting peace in Asia has been hard-won and must be "cherished" by all nations.
He warns that the global landscape is experiencing "profound changes, and regional conflicts are spreading and spilling over," adding: "Certain major powers resort to force willfully, posing a serious threat to world peace and stability."
His comments come amid ongoing US-Israeli attacks on Iran, which began on Feb. 28 and have so far resulted in roughly 1,300 deaths, including then-Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Iran has responded with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf states hosting US military assets, causing casualties, infrastructure damage, and disruptions to global markets and aviation.
